William Shatner's Documentary "The Captains" Headed To DVD In October

We've reported on William Shatner's documentary The Captains since Vegas Khhaaan! 2010. Sir Billiam has been extolling it's virtues at every convention we've been to from Vegas to Dallas and everywhere in-between. Since it's premiere on EPIX, the documentary has been a hit with Trek fans and non-fans alike. Now, you can buy your own copy of The Captains on DVD. Coming October 4th, and available for pre-order here, the documentary features all five Trek captains including: Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, Sir Patrick Stewart, & Star Trek XI's Chris Pine. The Shat interviews each in an informal setting and uses his Kirk like charm on each. Read more about the captains below.

Star Trek Alumni Shatner, Nichols, Sirtis, Phillips, & McDowell Round Out Fan Expo Canada. This Weekend.

Calling all Trek fans in the Great White North! This weekend is shaping up to be a stellar one for Canadian Star Trek & Scifi fans alike. William Shatner (Sir Billiam, as we now call him), Nichelle Nichols, Marina Sirtis, Ethan Phillips, & Malcolm McDowell are all set to attend Canada's largest science fiction convention, Fan Expo Canada.

Now entering its 17th year, Fan Expo Canada showcases over 700 exhibits and sprawls to over 400,000 square feet and over 75,000 fans. On top of the listed Trek alumni, everything from Star Wars to Battlestar Galactica & I Dream of Genie to The Six Million Dollar Man will be represented. Oh, and did we mention that Freddy Kruger will be there as well. That's right, one of our favs, Robert England is set to appear. We say Freddy Kruger, but really Robert will always be Willy from V, to us. We still have a special place in our eight-chambered hearts for the original V & V:The Final Battle. But the series?... Not so much.

Anyway, check out the full guest list & convention details below.

Creation Entertainment Filming New Documentary At Star Trek Las Vegas; Directed By William Shatner

We're getting stoked about the upcoming Creation Entertainment Star Trek Las Vegas convention that we so lovingly call Vegas Khhaaan! Not only will it be an awesome opportunity to catch up with all of our friends & readers, but this year Creation has something special up it's sleeve. We just got word that they will be filming a TV documentary pilot called FAN ADDICTS that will be directed by Captain Kirk himself, William "Mother Lovin'" Shatner. Much like last year, where The Shat ran around with a camera crew filming The Captains, his Kirkness will be on site throughout the weekend filming segments for the show.

Creation is putting out a call for Trek fans to participate; We invite our entire Vegas audience to participate in the filming on site. Bill has some amazing things planed for the shoot. Watch it all unfold, LIVE, next Thursday through Sunday, August 11th- 14th, ONLY at Creation Entertainment's Official 45th Anniversary Star Trek convention.

William Shatner's "The Captains" Documentary Trailer, Plus A New Season Of "Aftermath"

William Shatner's "The Captains" Documentary Trailer, Plus A New Season Of "Aftermath"

It seems lately that there has been more Shatner than you can wave a stick at. Well, get you're sticks out kids, The Shat is set to invade your televisions even more this month with the release of his long awaited documentary The Captains and a brand new season of his hit show Aftermath. We've been hearing about "Captains" for some time now, first learning about it in Vegas almost a year ago, and finally getting to see the extremely short trailer that was just released.

"I'm not Spock... That guy called me Spock" The Shat utters while traipsing down that all too familiar corridor in the Las Vegas Hilton. If there is any justice in the universe, you'll get to see my gigantic head in footage shot around Vegas Khhaaan! 2010. In fact, I had an extremely close call with Kirk and his camera crew while standing outside the Star Trek: The Experience panel last year. Shatner got within a foot or so of my tall, lanky frame and said very quietly to himself "I'm going this way", immediately turning in the opposite direction. Is it possible that I'm the only thing that frightens Kirk? But, I digress. The Captains will premiere on Epix July 21st. Check out the trailer below.

No Shat In Star Trek XII. According To The Man Himself

No Shat In Star Trek XII. According To The Man Himself

Even though William Shatner desperately wanted to be in J.J. Abrams first film in the Star Trek reboot, he's officially announced that he won't be in Star Trek XII either. At the 2011 Calgary Comic Expo, Shatner was asked if he would make an appearance in the next installment in the J.J.-verse.

The Shat revealed; "I have become an acquaintance of J.J. as of late but I'm afraid no.. no I will not be in Star Trek 2 I'm afraid." There is to say though, that all things can change. And really, it's not unusual for Bill to stir a little controversy to shed light on a topic.
