Looks like Amazon has a special edition version of J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek' in the works. 

In a recent interview with SciFi Wire, Zachary Quinto talked frankly about the progress of the sequel to J.J. Abrams's 'Star Trek'.  'I don't think anybody's in a hurry' says Quinto, but he also reassurres fans telling 'Star Trek is a priority, certainly'.

Update - Looks like 'Star Trek' dropped to #2 since yesterday, being bested by Watchmen.  Yikes!

Young Kirk actor Jimmy Bennett tells SciFi Wire that both Kirk's brother George and Uncle Frank were cut from the theatrical release of J.J. Abrams 'Star Trek. Don't fret, according to Jimmy, both scenes will be in the the blu-ray release November 17th.

With several reports floating around the net the last few weeks about the progress of the Star Trek XII script, we've learned that they all were a bit exaggerated.  As reported by SciFi Wire, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman are saying that they don't have anything pinned down yet.  Infact, they commented directly about Zoe Saldana's 'halfway done' remark that she made from Comic-Con.

As reported by Ace Showbiz, Star Trek XII will be one cast member short.  Eric Bana will not be reprising his role as Nero.  We kinda figured Nero wouldn't be back in the sequel, considering he was last seen exploding in a black hole.  But, weirder things have happened.

As reported by io9, Robert Orci says the 'trying to quit being a hero' formula doesn't apply to every second movie in a series and he sees the Enterprise crew as being much more committed to their mission.  Our comment on this?  Good!  Now, get the props department started on Khan's space mullet.

Early this week we reported Zoe Saldana saying that the Star Trek XII script is 'halfway done'.  Now, Zachary Quinto isn't confirming the progress, but is confirming that writing is underway.
