New 'Star Trek' images hit the interwebs today. Officially released by Paramount, these new images include mostly cadet shots of the cast as well as behind the scenes images. Enjoy.

Today the official soundtrack for the new motion picture 'Star Trek' hits stores.

To celebrate the release, Varese Sarabande Records and Best Buy present a special in-store appearance and autograph event by Michael Giacchino in Los Angeles.  If you're in the L.A. area, the signing starts at 7pm.  Details listed below.

Another clip from the upcoming J.J. Abrams film 'Star Trek' was released into the wild. This time featuring Kirk (Chris Pine) on an Ice Planet.

Paramount just released a 6 minute video featuring footage from the Hollywood Premiere of 'Star Trek' at Grauman's Chinese Theater.

The video shows the cast on the black carpet including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy, Eric Bana, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, and Bruce Greenwood. Also included are one on one interviews with the cast.

Paramount released a new slew of photos from the Hollywood premiere of 'Star Trek' at Graumann's Chinese Theater. The photos include the cast of 'Star Trek' as well as J.J. Abrams and shots from the red, uh, black carpet.

As many of you already know "Star Trek" tells the story of the original crew's beginnings, depicting the coming together of James Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy and the other classic heroes of the Starship Enterprise.  And with a 43-year history, "Star Trek" has a lot of reference material- including its music.
