Dragon-Con, the largest multimedia, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the US, is set for launch September 4th thru the 8th.  This year several Star Trek stars will be in attendance including three captains, a vulcan, and an evil mastermind that looks remarkably like H.G. Wells.

Our young time / space traveling ensign Wesley Crusher turns 37 today.  Who would have thought the Wil Wheaton would become such a great author and nerd culture hero?  Well, we always knew you had it in you, Wil.  Even when you had to wear those futuristic sweaters and one-piece rainbow jumpsuits.  Happy Birthday Wil and here's to many more!  Oh, and, we really miss InDigital.

Paramount Home Entertainment announced that all four Next Generation movies are headed to blu-ray September 29th.

Our favorite captain (yes we say that about all of them), Patrick Stewart celebrated his 69th birthday today.

Newsok.com recently conducted a phone interview with TNG alum Denise Crosby.  Set to appear at Trek Expo, Crosby got the call a few days before the convention.  In the interview she discusses Trekkies 1 & 2 and even the possibility for a third.
