Okay, so, this is a daunting task... Choosing the best "Star Trek" episode ever made. The Field has been chosen and the players assume there positions. That's right our good friends over at Geek Fights have boldly gone were few have gone before. Sorry, had to. Truly though, the task is really daunting, in fact there are so many fantastic Trek episodes spanning the various series that the Geek Fighters had to split this battle royale into two and a half episodes. Damon & Mike enlist the help of Trekcast's Darren Benjamin and Geek Fighters Barry Ingram & Paul Storrie. Stay tuned for part two coming shortly with yours truly, where I drop truth bombs. Advanced warning for tomorrow night!! This Tuesday is Trek Night on the Biography Channel!!! Grab your tricorder and beam to your couch for four hours of Trek fun!! Biography Channel will be playing “The Captains of the Final Frontier” and “Star Trek: Beyond the Final Frontier” back to back…and when you’ve finished watching both shows…stay put, because you can watch them all over again when they are immediately replayed. All this fun begins tomorrow night at 8pm Eastern/7pm Central (Tuesday Dec 14th) on the Biography Channel.

Opening on January 23rd, the tickets are on sale now for the exhibition that features sets, costumes, priceless museum pieces and props from all five Star Trek television series and 11 Star Trek feature films.

Visitors can sit in Captain Kirk’s chair from the Enterprise, featured in Star Trek: The Original Series. The object-based exhibition is divided into topic galleries emphasizing themes of science that the creators of Star Trek explored on screen.

Themes include:

Exploration - presenting a timeline of the Star Trek story, and including original models, costumes and props.

So, have you ever wanted sliding doors? Okay, I know, that's a silly question. You're a Star Trek fan, of course you want sliding doors. We'll we've found an actual DIY project that can bring a bit of the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th centuries to your home. These doors are definitely more Enterprise inspired than say TNG, because you have to push a button to open them, but you've got to start some where. It seems that all you need is an air compressor, sliding door accessories, pneumatic tubes and hoses, and some know-how and you're set. So, maybe you'll need a few more things than that, but still amazingly cool and trek-tastic none-the-less.

So, it's been about a week now since Starbase Indy 2010 concluded for another year and we're just now pulling together all of our photos and video of this fantastic fan run con. We had a blast at Indy and would highly recommend it to everyone, especially you, our readers. If you're like us and simply dig a great time hanging in a comfortable environment with like minded Trek fans who love to have fun, SBI is the place for you. Since SBI is a smaller convention, than say a Creation event or Comic-con, it's a much more intimate setting with both the fans and the stars. Honestly, we can't say enough good things about Starbase Indy the convention, as well as the fine folks that run the con. We'll be back next year!

The ships of the line calendar is a staple for the us the past few years. Not to mention the TOS calendars that we've bought nearly every year for the last decade and a half.

If you haven't picked one up yet for 2011, here's your chance. It looks like Amazon has put the 2011 Ships of the Line on sale for $12.59. It's a pretty descent deal and the new version of the calendar aims to please.
