From our PADDs to our burgeoning replicator technology, we're almost living the dream of a full Trek lifestyle. Thanks to Makezine.com and a link from Gizmodo, we can now take another step closer to that dream.

Thanks to one of our favorite SciFi blogs, Airlock Alpha, we learned of a special "hidden" interview Gene Roddenberry recorded in 1976 with none other than The Shat.  Apparently the interview was include on a spoken word album called "Inside Star Trek" that also featured DeForest Kelley (Dr. Leonard McCoy) and Mark Lenard (Sarek).

TV Squad posted an interesting article about the long disputed bad blood between Harlan Ellison and Star Trek / Gene Roddenberry / Paramount. 

As Trek fans, there are certain things that are a given. First, we think that Gene Roddenberry's vision for the future is something humanity can strive after. Second, we would give up an apendage to actually live in the 23rd and 24th century (maybe that's just me), and lastly that Leonard Nimoy has played an amazing role in Trekdom.

We reported last June on the Company of Angels Gala slated for October 17th to honor Leonard Nimoy. Looks like more info has been released about this Saturday's event. Apparently, Mr. Nimoy has placed his ears from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home on the auction block. Plus, The Shat and George Takei will be in attendance with items of their own up for bids.

As reported byMSN TV, Leonard Nimoy doesn't see any need for Original Spock to return in Star Trek XII. "Although, if they called me, I'd be happy to have a conversation about it." he explains.

As reported by Kotaku, for a limited time the season 3 Blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Original Series season 3 will include a promotional key to unlock a special admiral uniform in Star Trek Online.

Paramount Home Entertainment has set a date for the third and final season of Star Trek: The Original Series Remastered on blu-ray.  As reported by the TheHDRoom, the new discs will be presented in 1080p video and 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and the episodes can be viewed with or without the new and improved special effects.
