According To Bruce Greenwood; Star Trek XII Shooting To Begin In January 2011

Bruce Greenwood was in attendance for the premiere of his new movie " Dinner For Schmucks" and let slip the filming date for Star Trek XII.  Hollywood.com was there for the exclusive interview and asked Bruce what he knew about the sequel and whether or not we would see Captain Pike's return.

Is there anything that you can tell us about Star Trek 2?

I just know that the plan is to film it in January, more than that, I don't know.

That’s right, it’s a brand new musical all about me, written by Bryan Colley and Tara Varney. Khan! also features rockin’ original music by Tim Gillespie and Michelle Cotton."

The Scifi Diner Podcast Interview With Chase Masterson & Yours Truly

As you know, the Scifi Diner Podcast is one of our favorites.  Scott & Miles have become true friends of our site and were gracious enough to invite me to sit in on their most recent interview.  Chase Masterson, a Trek fan favorite, stopped by the diner to talk about her time spent on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", her singing career & charity work, plus her new movie "Yesterday Was A Lie".  "Yesterday" was not only a great co-starring role for Chase, but she also wore the producer hat on the film.

Check out a brief synopsis for "Yesterday Was A Lie":

Star Trek Online Could Become Free-to-play? Possibly Says New STO Exec. Producer

We were really tempted to simply leave the headline "Star Trek Online May Become Free To Play", but that's not quite the entire story.  In recent forum posts, after a bit of backlash from players over the most recent "Ask Cryptic" episode, Star Trek Online's executive producer Dan Stahl answers one particularly interesting post.

LeVar Burton is heading back into the realm of scifi with his new TV movie for NBC called "The Jensen Project". We reported on the "Jensen" announcement back in February and that the movie is actually what you called a "backdoor pilot" for NBC, which could lead into a new series for the TNG alum.
