Walter Koenig's "InAlienable" Heading To DVD Plus Interview
Walter Koenig has spent the last 10 years or so battling it out, trying to get his film "InAlienable" developed and filmed. Finally, this year the film will be hitting DVD shelves and ScreenStar.com has an interview with Walter.
"InAlienable" is a sci-fi thriller and legal drama that follows the plight of a guilt-ridden scientist, Dr. Norris (Richard Hatch), who gives birth to an alien-human hybrid child, a child that then becomes the focal point of a legal case over whether it's a living entity with rights or an abomination that must be destroyed.

Star Trek Online's Head Start Begins With A Bang, A Few Hiccups, & A Few Suprises
Star Trek Online's official head Start begain today with tremendous response from the community. We were there at 10:00 AM PST and had a tough time logging in and we weren't the only ones. Many reports around the twitterverse were complaining of the same issue. Finally, at a little after 10:30 we got our first response from the login server.
Another key problem right off the bat, was the availability of the "Lifetime Subscription" liberated Borg. Many users were reporting that the Borg wasn't listed as a character option
Cryptic did release a quick update letting fans know that they are on top of the issues.
Zachary Quinto Clarify's His "Stepping Away For 2 Years" Statement
Yesterday we reported that Zachary Quinto made it know that he is stepping away from all things Trek for a few years. Turns out today that ZQ wants to set the record straight. From his own personal blog Zach makes it clear that he will be reprising his role as our favorite Vulcan (well, one of our favorite Vulcans) in the next Star Trek movie. At the end of his statement he even throws in a reference to Leonard Nimoy's "I am not Spock / I am Spock" books. Check it out below.
Zachary Quinto "Stepping Away From Trek" For At Least 2 years
Don't expect to see Zachary Quinto at any conventions any time soon. He recently was quoted as saying that he's “...stepping away from Star Trek for at least two years — no movies, no conventions, no anything for a while,". This of course is probably not counting his recurring role as Spock in Star Trek XII (set for release June 29, 2012)

Cryptic Extends Star Trek Online Open Beta
We've been phasering and photon torpedoing our way through the various quadrants of space on Star Trek Online. Heck, we've hung out on Vulcan, rescued a few stranded cargo haulers, and decimated a few Klingons and Orions to boot. The whole time we've been counting down til' the end of the open beta hoping it could last just a little bit longer.
I guess the prophets (or wormhole aliens, depending on your beliefs) heard our prayers. Due to an "incredible response" and as a "thank you to our fans", Cryptic studios just announced that the ST:O open beta will be extended until tomorrow (January 26th) at 6:00 pm PST.
Jean Simmons "Admiral Satie" From TNG's "The Drumhead" Dies At 80
Jean Simmons, Emmy award winning, stage, film and television actress, died Friday evening at her home in Santa Monica. Simmons is famous in Trekdom for playing Admiral Satie in one of TNG's more poinent episodes "The Drumhead".
As relevant today as it was almost 19 years ago, "The Drumhead" focuses on an act of sabotage aboard the Enterprise and the witch hunt that slowly envelopes the crew. The episode also features one of the best moments of dialog, in The Next Generation, between Admiral Satie and Captain Picard. Check out the amazing exchange in the video below.
Roddenberry 70's TV Movie "Quester" To Be Remade
In the 70's, after Star Trek's unworthy demise, Gene Roddenberry worked on several TV projects. A few made it to the small screen as pilots and made for TV movies. One in particular is going back in the spotlight. "The Quester Tapes" is a 1974 television movie about an android with incomplete memory tapes who is searching for his creator and his purpose.
