Turns out that on an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon is making a new “Fun With Flags” webisode, this time focusing on the flags of Star Trek. While it’s not totally clear how Wil and LeVar will play into it, we’re guessing we won’t be disappointed.

Hey you guys, there’s a new Captain’s Log available from our pal over at Massively, Terilynn Shull . This time she has put together a bunch of great tips and info, specifically focused on low-tier ships, for all the new STO players.

Here’s a fun one for all you Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Castle fans out there. Later this fall, Armin Shimerman is set to guest-star in a Castle episode that revolves around a sci-fi convention. It also, just happens to be directed by TNG’s Jonathan Frakes.

Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher) has been up to a bunch of new stuff lately. (How’s that for a totally professional sounding opener?) Part of the reason for all of the new activities is the excitement of TNG’s 25th anniversary, this year. Because of this milestone celebration she has begun attending conventions again, much to fans’ delight. You see, she’s been hard to find on the convention circuit all of these years mostly because of her devotion to theatre and the craft of acting.

Austin Comic Con is nearly a month away and Wizard World just announced that Wil Wheaton has been added to the roster. All that's left for a complete US Next Gen cast reunion is Denise Crosby. Fingers crossed... Here's the Trek guest rundown; Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean-Luc Picard), Jonathan Frakes (Commander William T. Riker), LeVar Burton (Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge), Michael Dorn (Lieutenant Worf), Marina Sirtis (Counselor Deanna Troi), Brent Spiner (Lt. Commander Data), Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher), and Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher).

We’re pleased to announce the official release of Bye Bye, Robot’s eight newest posters. If you attended Vegas Khhaaan this year and stopped by the Bye Bye, Robot booth you had the inside scoop and saw them (early) in person. Maybe you were even there while Ira Steven Behr (writer of TNG’s “Captains’s Holiday”) signed a copy of the new “Escape to Risa” poster. I know I was, and it was a blast! We’re pleased to announce episode 21 of our “Life After Trek” podcast, featuring Paul McGillion. Many of you know Paul from his work on Stargate: Atlantis as character Carson Beckett, but did you know that he also had a cameo in J.J. Abrams’s Star Trek and was even considered for the character of Scotty?...but I’m getting ahead of the game here.  Being huge fans of Paul from his time on Atlantis and A Dog’s Breakfast (just to name a few), we were thrilled to chat with him to find out what he’s been up to lately.

What’s this all about? Well, back in ’94 Mexican physicist Miguel Alcubierre put forth a concept for a real warp drive which at that time was impossible, mainly due to the immense fuel requirements.
