Gates McFadden Talks About Her New Theatre And More, In Trekland Video Interview
Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher) has been up to a bunch of new stuff lately. (How’s that for a totally professional sounding opener?) Part of the reason for all of the new activities is the excitement of TNG’s 25th anniversary, this year. Because of this milestone celebration she has begun attending conventions again, much to fans’ delight. You see, she’s been hard to find on the convention circuit all of these years mostly because of her devotion to theatre and the craft of acting.
In fact, even though she’s making her way to a ton of conventions, she’s still busy creating new opportunities for actors and audiences, alike. Gates is currently busy building and renovating a space in Los Angeles for her theatre, Atwater Village Theatre, which features only new plays – no classics. Larry Nemecek recently paid her a visit in the new space, and got to chat with her about her new endeavors, her time in theatre, and (of course) Star Trek.
This is a great interview packed with tons of info, funny inside stories… oh, and did I mention curlers and a bathrobe on the bridge of the Enterprise?
