As reported on Kotaku, Star D-A-C was officially announced for XBOX Live, the Playstation Network, and PC today. New Screenshots were also released showing game play and several different levels.

As reported on MTV Movies Blog, paramount released a brand new film grab from the upcoming J.J. Abrams 'Star Trek' The new photo features Kirk (Chris Pine) speeding a shipyard on a his motorcycle.

Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi - TNG) will be appearing at Super-Con 2009 on May 16th - 17th. Super-Con is an annual comic book convention held in San Jose, CA. and features special guest stars, panel discussions, exhibitor areas, cosplay contests, and more.

Other special guests include comic book artists Adam Hughes, Frank Cho, and Eduardo Risso as well as Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca from Star Wars), Bruce Dern (Silent Running, The Burbs), and Jane Wedlin from The Go-Go's. 

Toshiba UK launched a new micro-site featuring a new loptop series with 'Star Trek' protective skins. The Lapjacks (as they are being called) feature an image of Spock, Uhura, and Kirk with the famous 'Star Trek' font and logo. 

No word yet if these will be available in the US.

On May 12th (US) and April 27th (UK), CBS & Paramount are set to release 'Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection' on Blu-ray. This new Blu-ray set includes all 6 movies featuring the TOS cast.

In an interview with MTV news, the cast of 'Star Trek' talks about how they took cues from The Original Series.

'We made this movie from a place of respect and from a place of celebration for what came before,' new Spock Zachary Quinto says.
