Star Trek Online has posted two new updates to the ST:O site.  A brand new ship class has been revealed, with full stats, and a brand new edition of the ongoing Kobayashi Maru series.

Starfleet – Excalibur Class

Updating the iconic profile of the Constitution class, the Excalibur is the first of a group of new, state-of-the-art cruisers intended to fill a variety of roles for Starfleet.

As reported by Incgamer.com, the forthcoming Star Trek Online has a released date set by it's publisher. 

“Star Trek Online: with customizable ships and characters from the Klingon Empire and United Federation of Planets, ground, space and shipboard gameplay and unique options for player generated content set in the Star Trek universe, Star Trek Online is the MMOG that allows gamers to boldly go where no one has gone before.”

A new round of updates have been posted on the Star Trek Online site.  Included, in the updates are a new 'Meet the Team' segment and a brand new Kobayashi Maru.

Star Trek Online has updated it's on-going 'Path to 2409' storyline. In this installment ,'2387 Supplemental', we get to tag along with a Starfleet News Service reporter to the planet Talvath.

There, the reporter interviews Commander Suran, once captain of the warbird Soterus.  During the interview we get possible insight into the disappearance of Empress Donatra and the assasination of Romulan General Braeg.

Gamespot recently got an exclusive look at 3 new screenshots for Star Trek Online and more in depth detail about character creation and gameplay.

As reported by Reuters, 'Star Trek' had a fantastic box office return for it's advanced screenings May 7th.

The big-screen return of "Star Trek" launched into warp drive as it grossed an estimated $7 million from advance screenings in North American theaters, Daily Variety reported on Friday.
