As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, The Art Directors Guild Film Society and American Cinematheque will honor four of the designers who worked on "Star Trek" -- John Jefferies, Joseph R. Jennings, Herman Zimmerman and Scott Chambliss -- at "Star Trek: 45 Years of Designing the Future," on Sept. 27 at the Egyptian Theatre.

Everyone loves Captain Pyke from 'The Menagerie'.  Heck, I even have a ornament on my desk with the dear captain in his space aged wheel chair. 

Kate Mulgrew, one of our favorite captains, is joining the cast of the new NBC series 'Mercy'.  Mulgrew will play Jeannie Flanagan, the mother of the show's lead, Veronica (Taylor Schilling).  

Also in Kate Mulgrew news, she will be lending her voice to the new upcoming Bioware roleplaying game "Dragon Age: Origins".    Also lending their voice to the game, is another fave of ours, Tim Curry (Frank-N-Furter, Rocky Horror Picture Show).

Spike TV's 4th annual 'SCREAM 2009' posted it's list of nominees today, and guess who's at the top?  J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek', that's who.  'Star Trek' garnered 17 nominations including Best Science Fiction Movie, Best Director, and Best Ensemble.  Zoe Saldana also grabbed two nominations for for Best Breakout Performance: Female and Best Science Fiction Actress.

Star Trek Online just posted a brand new screenshot showing what looks like a Federation facility, possibly a space station, and a brand new Installment of "meet the team".  Check out the new ST:O screenshot here.
