Update - Looks like 'Star Trek' dropped to #2 since yesterday, being bested by Watchmen.  Yikes!

Admiral Fitzpatrick (Actor Ed Reimers) from 'The Trouble With Tribbles' has passed away. According to a relative Ed died in upstate New York, he was 96. Best know for his voiceover work for All State Insurance 'You're in good hands' commercials, Ed will always be known to Trek Fans as Admiral Fitzpatrick.

Dean Lindoerfer, Reimers' nephew by marriage, says the actor died Sunday at his daughter's home in Saratoga Springs. The cause wasn't immediately clear.

I love the fact that, since the release of Star Trek XI, we're seeing an influx of Star Trek related accessories and collectables. It really is a fantastic time to be a Trek Fan. Let's call it our trek-aissance.

Director James Cameron was recently interview by the L.A. Times and discussed his new film 'Avatar'. On top of multitude of other topics, James expressed his opinion of J.J. Abrams's re-imaging of 'Star Trek'.  Apparently, Jimmy likes it.

Captain's log, Stardate 4628.1. I've finally been able to carve out a little 'me' time and enjoy a fantastic cocktail...... Giles Aston, the best Picard impersonator to ever put on a man skirt, has put together a video detailing Captain Picard's favorite receipe for a warp speed champagne cocktail.  Love it!

In a recent press release, Titan Books announced their forthcoming 'art of' book STAR TREK: THE ART OF THE FILM!.  The book is set to include pre-production paintings, concept sketches, costume and set designs, unit photography and final frames.  J.J.
