Even with his $200 photo-ops, Patrick Stewart was particularly popular at this year's Dragon-Con.  That's probably because he doesn't make the convention rounds as much as other Star Trek actors.  Didn't he retire from Conventions 15 or so years ago?  Anyway...

As we approach the end of the year more and more updates will be emerging for Star Trek Online.   We can't wait to get our hands on the closed beta much less the actual game.  From all that we've seen it's really shaping up to be an excellent addition to the Star Trek Universe.

Don VanDer Wende is know for creating "crazy things for crazy people".  In fact he created a replica of the Defiant's bridge for an undisclosed billionaire, as a birthday present for said billionaire's wife.  "the couple did not want to keep the fully-encapsulated, fully-enclosed bridge, preferring to hold the memory in their hearts as a once-in-a-lifetime moment", said VanDer Wende.

Nicholas Meyer, writer / director of Star Trek II & Star Trek VI & writer of Star Trek IV, will be reading from his new memoir, "The View from the Bridge: Memories of Star Trek and a Life in Hollywood," at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, in Prairie Lights Books at 15 S. Dubuque St. in downtown Iowa City, Iowa.

IDW is set to release all of it's Star Trek Movie adaptation comics in one book, and it's set for warp in November.  Called the Star Trek MovieOmnibus, the release will include the following:

The three-part Star Trek: The Motion Picture

The one-shots Star Trek: The Search for Spock, StarTrek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek: The FinalFrontier, Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country

And finally the newly created, three-part Star Trek: TheWrath of Khan from IDW.
