Merciful Kate Mulgrew Hangs With Frank-N-Furter
Kate Mulgrew, one of our favorite captains, is joining the cast of the new NBC series 'Mercy'. Mulgrew will play Jeannie Flanagan, the mother of the show's lead, Veronica (Taylor Schilling).
Also in Kate Mulgrew news, she will be lending her voice to the new upcoming Bioware roleplaying game "Dragon Age: Origins". Also lending their voice to the game, is another fave of ours, Tim Curry (Frank-N-Furter, Rocky Horror Picture Show).
More about 'Mercy':
Mercy is a brand new Medical drama From executive producers/writers Liz Heldens (Friday Night Lights), Gretchen Berg & Aaron Harberts (Pushing Daisies), executive producers Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun, and Emmy Award-winning director Adam Bernstein (30 Rock, Rescue Me).
Mercy is set to focus on three nurses, Veronica, Sonia, and Chloe. Just from looking at the three of them, you can tell that this series will be more like Hawthorne than Nurse Jackie. They're all very clean cut, and look like they'll be advocates rather than adulterers.
The three main cast members are Taylor Schilling as Veronica Callahan, a nurse who has just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq; Michelle Trachtenberg as rookie nurse Chloe Payne; and Jamie Lee Kirchner as Sonia Jimenez. (source TVovermind.com)
More About Dragon Age: Origins:
Dragon Age: Origins is set to tell a complex story focused around a Grey Warden who must defeat a long-lasting evil, which threatens the land. The game will be blending high and low fantasy concepts, so expect soaring scores and good versus evil fights but also scheming, betrayal and a lot of mature content. The title is set to arrive on November 3 in North America and three days later in Europe. (source Softpedia.com)
