Oh Commander Shran, Brunt, Weyoun, Commander Suldok, and even Penk, how we love you. You're all so different and well rounded characters. It's amazing to us that you all spawn from the same acting genius. Who else could we be talking about other than the wonderfully talented Jeffrey Combs.

You guessed it, it's time for another installment of the Youtube video round-up: Jeffrey Combs edition. We've scoured the interwebs in search of the best Jeffrey Combs videos available. From Weyoun drinking poison to The Shat interviewing Jeff. Check out the embedded goodness below.

Weyoun drinks poison. Hilarious!

Star Trek XI Vfx Supervisor Roger Guyett Color Mapped Space

Star Trek XI Vfx Supervisor Roger Guyett Color Mapped Space

In Star Trek XI, Visual Effects Supervisor Roger Guyett used an animation technique called "color mapping" throughout the entire movie.  Each digitally created locale, be it a planet or a region of space, was assigned its own hues and tones.

The approach was practical because many of the pic's locales were entirely digital, just as in animation.

"When you're completely inventing something, you have more control over those colors and tones and the way that you light those spaces," Guyett says. When creating new locales with the color map, he could slot in a fresh keyframe and look at the map. "It really is clear whether (the locale) is confusing to the audience."

William Shatner And J.J. Abrams Do Lunch

William Shatner And J.J. Abrams Do Lunch

According to a report from Wonderwall.msn.com, The Shat and J.J. recently "did lunch" at Spago (we made that last part up) and talked about The Shat returning to Trekdom.  Hmmm, we love The Shat, but we're not sure who we feel about shoehorning him into Star Trek XII.

What do you think?  Leave your comments below.

William Shatner is in talks to return to the world of Star Trek, despite attacking director J.J. Abrams for leaving him out of his 2009 blockbuster prequel.

"Star Trek" or "Star Wars?" Uh, gee, let me think... Says Bruce Greenwood

"Star Trek" or "Star Wars?" Uh, gee, let me think... Says Bruce Greenwood

One of best things form Star Trek XI was the formadable Captain Pyke, played by Bruce Greenwood.  Man, we would love to see him more in Star Trek XII.  Fingers crossed.  Anyway, Popmatters.com recently sat down with Bruce to play a quick game of 20 questions.  Our favorite? You guessed it, "Star Trek" or "Star Wars?"  Check out the rest below.

1. The latest book or movie that made you cry?
A Soldier of the Great War, by Mark Helprin, who also wrote Freddy and Frederika, which will make you laugh out loud. Literally.

2. The fictional character most like you?
The absent-minded professor.

Alexander Rozhenko In Trouble With The Law

Alexander Rozhenko In Trouble With The Law

Brian Bonsall, famous for playing Alexander Rozhenko in TNG and Andy Keaton In Family Ties, was arrested over the weekend on a felony assault charge.  All jokes aside, it's pretty sad when a former child star runs into trouble with drug / alcohol / legal problems.  If convicted Brian could face a good deal of time in jail.  Check out more details in the article excerpt below.

Colorado Daily reports that the 28-year-old is currently facing third-degree assault charges for hitting his friend in the face with a bar stool.  It's not just that, he's actually been wanted by the cops for years.  Brian Bonsall has already skipped a court hearing in July 2008, further damaging his case.

Virgin Galactic Names SpaceShipTwo; VSS Enterprise

Virgin Galactic Names Space Ship Two; VSS Enterprise

The first manned commercial spaceship was unveiled today in the Mojave Desert.  Virgin Galactic and it's founder Richard Branson also revealed another surprise by naming the ship (VSS) Enterprise.  We definitely let out a nerd squeal for that one!  Now, we don't know for sure if Branson is a Trek Fan or not, but we like to imagine him onboard his pimped-out Airbus A380 (with custom 24" wheels), watching Next Gen episodes and reciting lines with dialog.  Or, maybe he owns a private island, that he somehow shaped into a delta shield.  It could happen!

**Update**  Branson is a fan, check out what Wikipedia has to say about it.
