We're huge fans of Mark Largent's special brand of 3D animated Star Trek virtual-felt covered puppet parodies and wanted to pass along the good news. If you are looking for an easier way to grab a copy or just think that DVDs are so 1999, here's your opportunity. Trekoff Podcast Making A Documentary About Star Trek Fanfilms And More
Here’s a fun project we know you’re going to like, a fan film about fan films…and so much more. Trekoff: The Motion Picture is a documentary, being made by the Trekoff Podcast, which is all about Star Trek fans who create more Trek culture (a concept we just happen to be familiar with, ourselves). These guys are interviewing, filming, and participating in Star Trek based podcasts, blogs, fan fiction, conventions, etc… all over the country.
Former Starship Exeter (TOS) Bridge Finds New Life In Oklahoma City
Like so many fan films, Starship Exeter ceased production short of completing its final episode. With its bridge slowly rotting in a Central Texas barn, the Exeter team parted ways when funding ran dry. Now, the bridge is getting new life through a brand new fan series called Starship Ajax in Oklahoma City. In 2010, OKC resident John Hughes found out about the abandoned set and made his way to Austin to retrieve it.

Starship Farragut: The Animated Episodes just released Act III of their new episode "The Needs of the Many". Written by Michael Struck (Owner, NEO f/x) and Jack Trevino (Writer, DS9), "Needs" has the crew of the Farragut warping to Cestus III on a secret mission for the Federation. If you haven't watched Act I or Act II of "The Needs of the Many" be sure to check them out below. For some reason the Act III currently isn't available for download from the Starship Farragut The Animated Episodes website. We've include embedded versions for all three acts below.
Star Trek: Phoenix Fan Series Launches
The long awaited pilot to the fan series, Star Trek: Phoenix launched tonight. The brain child of Executive Producer Leo Roberts, ST: Phoenix takes place some 40 years after the events in Star Trek: Nemesis and is comprised of more the 150 volunteers throughout the Seatle, Washington area.
The pilot episode, titled "Cloak & Dagger", takes place in 2422, one year into the maiden voyage of the Phoenix The story begins after a major attack on the Phoenix and the crew attempts to rescue an away team on the remote planet Katassii Prime. Little do they know, the rescue team will need saving from the secrets the perilous world posses.

If you haven't heard of Starship Farragut, the series chronicles the adventures of the U.S.S. Farragut, commanded by John T. Carter, and takes place during what would have been fourth season of Star Trek: The Original Series. The U.S.S Farragut is a sister ship to the legendary Enterprise commanded by James T. Kirk.
