Alexander Siddig's New Film "Inescapable" Debuts First Trailer
Alexander Siddig has been hard at work on his latest movie project, a new film by Cairo Time writer-director Ruba Nadda called Inescapable. We first reported on the film back in 2011 when it was first announced. Also starring Marisa Tomei and Joshua Jackson, Inescapable's debut trailer has hit the net and it looks like a very interstesting premise especially with current world events.
Shooting Wraps On Alexander Siddig's "Inescapable"
If you're reading this site then you probably know by now that we're huge Deep Space Nine fans. What can we say, we love it. We also love following the goings-on of the DS9 cast... Not to mention that most of our Life After Trek interviews have been with former DS9'ers, as well. Let's see, we have Chase, Armin, Max, Aron, Jeffery, Tony, & Natalija. Not a bad line-up, if I do say so myself. One person we would love to talk to is Alexander Siddig; Dr. Bashir, to you and me. So Alexander, if you're out there, hit us up. We'd love to interview you. In lieu of that, we just got word that his new film Inescapable has just wrapped shooting and is headed to post production. Big thanks to Subspace Comms reader Sheri for filling us in.
Star Trek DS9's Alexander Siddig Set To Star In "Inescapable"
We've been hitting the DS9 pretty hard the last few weeks and got to thinking about Alexander Siddig (Dr. Bashir).. He's made quite a career for himself since leaving the station's sick bay (most recently with his work on Primeval) and his next project Inescapable is going to be a worthy addition. According to Variety, The film, written and directed by Ruba Nadda, is the story of a Syrian expatriate (Siddig) whose journalist daughter goes missing in Damascus. He must return to his homeland to find her despite the risks, and calls on a former love to help him. An embassy official is at first helpful but may have an agenda of his own
Star Trek DS9's Alexander Siddig On Returning To Scifi "This Is Just Like Coming Home"
All of you know Alexander Siddig as our kindly Dr. Julian Bashir aboard Deep Space Nine, but Alexander has had quite a film career after leaving the sick bay. From serious film roles in "Syriana" & "Kingdom of Heaven" to scifi / fantasy films "like Clash of the Titans" & "Reign of Fire", Alexander has yet to make a permanent move back to the small screen & episodic TV, until now. Starting early next year you'll be able to catch Alexander in the ITV series "Primeval". Launching in season 4 (or series 4, as the British say) he'll be joining and running the ARC as Phillip Burton. Not familiar with "Primeval"? The show follows a team of five scientists tasked with investigating the appearance of temporal anomalies across Great Britain through which prehistoric and futuristic creatures enter the present.
