Help Bring Star Trek's Enterprise-D Bridge To Creation's Vegas Convention In August

As you well know (...anyway...I'm assuming you do...after all, your only source of online info & entertainment is us, right?... right?!?) Subspace Communique reported on the Enterprise Bridge Restoration Project back in February 2013 on “Life After Trek.” Well, much has happened since then, and now, Trek Radio is teaming up with Huston Huddleston’s New Starship to bring the iconic Enterprise-D bridge to Creation Entertainment’s Star Trek Las Vegas convention this August. This is your chance to help bring this cool memorabilia to the Rio where you'll actually be able to sit in one of the bridge chairs, and bark, "Make it so!" or shout, "FIRE!" Don't miss out on making this dream a reality!

Trek Radio says,

The New Starship Enterprise Bridge Restoration is a non-profit foundation created to completely restore one of the Paramount created Enterprise-D Bridge sets from Star Trek: The Next Generation, so it can be displayed to the public and turned into an Interactive Museum attraction. The original TV set was destroyed for the film Star Trek: Generations, and this duplicate set was created in 1997 by Paramount, under the supervision of Herman Zimmerman and Michael Okuda.

Star Trek has always been more than a television show or a set of movies. For generations Star Trek has been an event shared by Trekkies and families. Grandparents, Parents, children, and grandchildren have been bonding over Star Trek for decades, making life-long memories and lasting friendships. New Starship intends to bring the magic of those memories to life. But before it can embark on that sustained mission, the bridge will travel across the country, allowing those who may not be able to experience it in its final destination to enjoy it now.

They go on to say,

To that end we have launched the “Experience the Enterprise” Indiegogo campaign to help bring the Enterprise-D to the fabulous Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Navigate your browser to www.indiegogo.com/projects/experience-the-enterprise and contribute to this fantastic effort to help make our dreams of the future into reality in the present. Your generous contributions will not only enable Trek Radio to broadcast live from the bridge of the Enterprise-D at STLV but will also enable fans in attendance to experience the Enterprise-D first hand with a chance to sit in the captain’s chair, take photos on the bridge in costume, and meet celebrities.

In addition to helping us bring the currently restored bridge set pieces to the convention, contributors to the Experience the Enterprise campaign have access to a number of great incentives including the chance to play a Star Trek Online special taskforce mission with an all-star team of STO podcasters, special in-game items, access to exclusive behind-the-scenes content on the website, a chance to be a guest DJ on Trek Radio, one of the limited edition laser-etched bridge dedication plaques from NewStarship.com a chance to record an interview with a celebrity, and more!

Contributions to the campaign will help cover the cost of shipping the large pieces of the bridge set to the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, cover the costs of reserving the floor space in the convention’s vendor room, as well as internet and electricity needed to power the bridge and broadcast from on-location.

Help us help you to experience the Enterprise-D and support our epic endeavor to bring New Starship to Las Vegas.
