Geek Nation Tours & Larry Nemecek Team Up For Exploring Trek Sites: Hollywood To Vegas 2013 Tour

Geek Nation Tours & Larry Nemecek Team Up For Exlporing Trek Sites: Hollywood To Vegas 2013 Tour

Earlier this year, two of our Trek friends joined forces to present a Vegas Khhaaan! tour-de-force. Tour being the operative word here. Next year, Geek Nation Tours and Trekland's own Larry Nemecek are partnering again for the special Exploring Trek Sites: Hollywood to Vegas tour. The 2013 version will include trips to Vasquez Rocks, Mojave Desert filming locales, and the Valley of Fire in Nevada were Captain James T. Kirk spent his last moments. Just like this year's tour, H2V 2013 will end at Creation Entertainment's Star Trek Las Vegas convention.

Did we mention that the tour will be led by Trek legend and aficionado Larry Nemecek?

“After our great ‘shakedown cruise’ last year, we’ve made a few tweaks for our sophomore tour—including the addition of the Valley of Fire stop,”Larry adds. “We are still refining the stops, too, and have added some great extras thanks to our new promotional partners.”

GEEK NATION TOURS RELEASES ITS 2013 EDITION OF
“EXPLORING TREK SITES: HOLLYWOOD TO VEGAS WITH LARRY NEMECEK” TOUR

Geek Nation Tours is proud to be a part of the positive vision of the Star Trek universe and adventures. And this year they are again teaming up with "Dr. Star Trek" Larry Nemecek to make their second tour of Star Trek film locations en route to the fabled Las Vegas Convention, a truly extraordinary experience.

For 2013, why not celebrate Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's 20th Anniversary, the new JJ Abrams' film Star Trek Into Darkness, and all of Star Trek with a tour guest-led by Larry—the noted Star Trek guru
as a consultant, journalist, producer and author of the Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion —and with fellow Star Trek fans from around the world? Come along as Larry leads the pilgrimage to filming sites of The Original Series and The Next Generation and their movies, as well as Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise—including the new JJ Abrams' films. Some sites familiar, some obscure—but all iconic and ready for you to experience and even stage your own photo ops, right on location. Many Trek site tour stops also double as pretty darn iconic SoCal sites that any traveler would have on their list—like the Walk of Fame and Santa Monica Pier.

The “H2V” journey will take you from Trek sites around Hollywood and surrounding Los Angeles up to Vasquez Rocks, Mojave Desert filming locales, and then onward to Kirk's final moments in the Valley of Fire in Nevada—with some special guests along the way. Finally the group will arrive in Las Vegas for the granddaddy of them all: Creation Entertainment's famous Star Trek Convention, where your host Rio hotel is included in the tour as well as ongoing con and Vegas meet-ups each evening, as the group desires.

“After our great ‘shakedown cruise’ last year, we’ve made a few tweaks for our sophomore tour—including the addition of the Valley of Fire stop,” Nemecek adds. “We are still refining the stops, too, and have added some great extras thanks to our new promotional partners.”

This year, tourtakers will enjoy Trek goodies and discounts from the likes of Creation, Robe Factory, and Bye Bye, Robot. The tour will be limited to one busload —35 max—and also includes a unique souvenir tour clothing item (no spoilers!) for each tourtaker.

The "H2V" Trek Tour runs from August 3-12 including the convention, and details can be seen at:
