Vulcan Salute Tough For New Spock

According to Sky News, Zachary Quinto found it almost impossible to form his hands into the famed Vulcan Salute. So, the crew decided to use a low tech approach.
The 31-year-old, who plays a younger version of Leonard Nimoy's original Spock in the new sci-fi movie, couldn't train his digits to separate into the "live long and prosper" Vulcan salute.
After much deliberation and attempts to bind his fingers together with rubber bands, makers of the multi-million dollar hi-tech blockbuster resorted to a rather low-tech solution.
Logic prevailed and director JJ Abrams brought out the skin-protective superglue to stick Quinto's fingers together in the right position. (source Sky News)
