As reported on SCI FI Wire, scenes including the Klingon prison planet Rura Penthe and an infant Spock were casualties of the editing room.

"We actually had a sequence that ended up getting cut from the movie that took place on Rura Penthe, in a Klingon prison," Kurtzman said, explaining the deletion. "And there was definitely Klingon spoken in the movie, and it ended up getting cut."

Zachary Quinto, who plays Spock, meanwhile, told SCI FI Wire that other scenes were cut from the film, including ones of his character as a baby (images have appeared on the Internet) in a birth scene meant to parallel the birth of Kirk. (source SCI FI Wire)
