Like most of you, I have daydreamed and wished for new Star Trek TV episodes to fill my imagination with exciting adventures of Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy, and the rest of the crew of the Enterprise. Well, it seems that we may now get that opportunity with the webseries, Star Trek Continues.

They premiered their series at the Phoenix Comic Con in May, to rave reviews. The accolades make total sense to me, being that more than half of the time I forgot I wasn't watching a TOS episode at all. The story was not only spot on, but it was a "continuation" of the season two TOS episode named "Who Mourns for Adonais?" Going so far as to have Michael Forest back to reprise the role of Apollo. The new cast features Vic Mignogna as Captain Kirk, Todd Haberkorn as Mr. Spock, Larry Nemecek as Dr. McCoy, Chris Doohan as Mr. Scott, Grant Imahara as Mr. Sulu, Kim Stinger as Lt. Uhura, and Wyatt Lenhart as Ensign Chekov.

I gotta say, I really dug this new webseries. The sets felt real and totally TOS. The writing completely fit the original scripts.  And most of this new series' actors seem to be channeling their 1960's counterparts.

I had a blast watching this debut episode, and can't wait for more in the (hopefully near) future. Ok guys...now you totally have to make more. We're all waiting on pins and needles! ...no pressure...
