Two New Star Trek Posters Released From Bye Bye, Robot. Impressionist Style Of Futuristic Machinery

Two New Star Trek Posters Released From Bye Bye, Robot. Impressionist Style Of Futuristic Machinery.

I’ve never been so impressed with an artist’s skill before. Ok, ok…I had to squeeze that pun into the article somewhere, so I thought I’d give you a break and get it over with quickly.

Now, feast your peepers on the new line of posters we’re Bye Bye, Robot is launching today. It’s a brand new, fully licensed, series of Star Trek ships as shown through the artist Jeff Foster’s eyes.  His style, being highly influenced by the Impressionists of the late 1800’s, brings this unique juxtaposition of past and future together. No longer is your fandom stuck in the game-room, these art pieces can bring your Star Trek collection straight into your living room. Their beautiful colors, delicate technique, and iconic imagery appeal to fans and art collectors alike.

Bye Bye, Robot had its live convention debut last month at Houston’s Comicpalooza, where the new posters were met by happy fans. One of the “Exploration” posters was even signed by George Takei (which you can see in the photos of Bye Bye, Robot’s Facebook page. Be sure to “like” the page while you’re there). This month was just as exciting with BayouCon. Our Bye Bye, Robot booth was placed near the celebrity guests, J.G. Hertzler (Martok, DS9) and Robert O’Reilly (Gowron, Next Gen & DS9) and happened to catch the eye of the pair of Klingons. J.G. Hertzler paid us quite the complement with “Hunting For Prey” (the Klingon Bird of Prey poster) by stopping by and telling us how much he liked it. We were extremely flattered, to say the very least, and the artist was thrilled beyond words.

The series, called “Impressions of the Future”, currently holds two unforgettable posters. The first, “Exploration” is a vivid depiction of the U.S.S. Enterprise in yellows and blues. The second, “Hunting for Prey” is a striking scene of Klingon Birds of Prey decloaking near a fiery burst of red and orange hues. This series, as with all of Bye Bye, Robot’s series, will be ongoing and expanding. And we’ve even overheard the Robot say that it already has new additions in the queue ready to blow away the fans and collectors. Be sure not to miss any of this new series. Its future is on your walls.
