Star Trek Online is in it's closed beta phase and we can neither confirm or deny whether or not we're currently participating :).  We can, however, let you treklings know that the officially release date is set for Feburary 2nd 2010.  Yes friends, that's the year we make contact!

Also, in other trek gaming news, Star Trek D-A-C is finally set for it's release on the PC on November 12th.  Check out more deets below.  BTW, the pic above has nothing to do with either of these announcements.  It just makes me happy inside.

Cryptic and Atari have confirmed that their MMO Star Trek Online will be released for PC on 2nd February 2010 in North America, and 5th February in Europe.

The confirmation follows Amazon.com and GameStop listing the 2nd February date on their pre-order pages earlier in the week.

"It's definitely early 2010," executive produce Craig Zinkievich told us last month, and it turns out he wasn't kidding. Despite his comments, February will be earlier than many expected.  (source Eurogamer.com)

ST:D-A-C for PC info:

A few days ago we reported that the PC version of Star Trek D-A-C would finally be released via Steam on November 17, the same day as the DVD and Blu-Ray release of the Star Trek movie revival. Well, it looks like gamers will get their Trek gaming goodness a few days earlier than planned. The Steam pre-order page has changed the release date. It's now showing a November 12 date for the game to be made available for download.

Pricing for the PC port has still not been revealed on the Steam web site. The top down space shooter from developer Naked Sky Entertainment is scheduled to have a number of extras not available in the first Xbox 360 version. (source Big Download)
