Cryptic Studios announed that the official Star Trek Online Closed beta begins today.  The long awaited MMO is the first of it's kind, placing players in the Star Trek universe 30 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis. 

Of course if you've been to this site before, you know all about Star Trek Online and how excited we are about it.  The closed beta came as kind of a suprise to us today, considering we bought a six month subscription to Champions Online just for a guaranteed closed beta key.  I guess we'll have to be patient as Cryptic sends out info to the beta participants.  Geez, come on, we want to get our Spock on!

If you've signed up, keep an eye on your email, as we'll periodically be inviting people to join in and share their feedback. Additionally, if you look to the right of the page, the "Closed Beta" application graphic will change to indicate you've been accepted, if you've in fact been accepted.
