Convention season is quickly approaching. We're even getting in high gear already for Vegas Con, but there is one convention we would love to visit.  Shore Leave 32 is set for July 9-11, 2010 and is known to be one of the biggest fan run conventions on the giant blue marble.  This year's guest list is already starting to shape up.  Our buddy Miles McLoughlin from the SciFi Diner Podcast reminded us about the update.  Thanks Miles!

Jeffery Combs has to be one of our favorite Star Trek actors of all time.  He has played 9 different roles in the Star Trek universe and now you can see him in his one man show playing poet Edgar Allen Poe.  Called 'Nevermore . . . An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe', Jeffery will continue playing Poe Fridays & Saturdays at the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood until September 26th. (thanks to reader Elisa for the corrections)

Dragon-Con, the largest multimedia, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the US, is set for launch September 4th thru the 8th.  This year several Star Trek stars will be in attendance including three captains, a vulcan, and an evil mastermind that looks remarkably like H.G.
