New Day-Trip Available From Geek Nation Tours Coinciding With The Official Star Trek Convention In Las Vegas, This July!
Remember back in March when we told you about the ultimate Star Trek themed guided tour? Well, if you can't make that one, how about a single day excursion? Geek Nation Tours has added a Star Trek themed Day-Trip called "Trek into the Valley of Fire - One Day Adventure" to their roster!
Would you like to combine Travel + Star Trek filming sites + Las Vegas + The Official Star Trek Convention into one mega Star Trek fanstravaganza?!?! Since I know my own answer would be "YES!!!!" I'm gonna go out on a limb as guess that you're saying "No duh!" right about now.
Well, now all of your wildest dreams can come true! Our good friends Larry Nemecek and Geek Nation Tours are teaming up again for one of the most fun and informative Star Trek tours of all time. Their "Exploring Trek Sites: Hollywood to Vegas With Larry Nemecek" is the ultimate guided tour for any Trek fan. Via private coach, you get to visit a ton of filming locations and Trek-centric sites around California, meet some of the Trek cast, compete amongst your travel-mates in trivia contests, and culminate the tour with the Las Vegas Star Trek Convention. But don't just let me tell you about it. You can check out our podcast, with Larry and Geek Nation Tours, here.
Earlier this year, two of our Trek friends joined forces to present a Vegas Khhaaan! tour-de-force. Tour being the operative word here. Next year, Geek Nation Tours and Trekland's own Larry Nemecek are partnering again for the special Exploring Trek Sites: Hollywood to Vegas tour. The 2013 version will include trips to Vasquez Rocks, Mojave Desert filming locales, and the Valley of Fire in Nevada were Captain James T. Kirk spent his last moments. Just like this year's tour, H2V 2013 will end at Creation Entertainment's Star Trek Las Vegas convention.
As we get closer to this year’s Vegas Khhaaan! we’re also getting closer to that fantabulous tour by Geek Nation Tours that takes you from Hollywood to Vegas, making stops along the way at a ton of Star Trek sites, all the while getting the inside scoop from , Larry Nemecek the insider of insiders. You get all that fun, plus you get to meet the man behind the Gorn mask, Bobby Clark.
Life After Trek Podcast Episode 19 Geek Nation Tours Special Featuring Larry Nemecek & Teras Cassidy
We’re pleased to announce episode 19 of our “Life After Trek” podcast, the Geek Nation Tours Special, featuring Larry Nemecek & Teras Cassidy. Larry & Teras sit down with us to talk about their upcoming Geek Nation Tours project "Exploring Trek Sites: Hollywood To Vegas With Larry Nemecek". Born from a meeting at Vegas Khhaaan! 2011, Larry & Teras have partnered to offer a tour just prior to, and including, Vegas. In this tour Larry will guide the group around tons of Star Trek related sites located in Southern California. Some of the sites they will be visiting are the gardens used as Starfleet Academy, Paramount Studios, the site of the Kirk vs. Gorn battle (with a visit from the “Gorn himself”, Bobby Clark), and many many more. Check out the Geek Nation Tours website for more info.
We met Geek Nation Tours at the last Vegas Khhaaan!. They are a great company that essentially leads small groups on vacations of geekdom paradise. Each vacation tour revolves around a “geek genre”. Some of their tour themes include; Twilight, Anime, Civil War History, and of course our favorite… Star Trek.
One of our favorite things about the annual Creation Entertainment Star Trek Las Vegas Convention (that we loving call Vegas Khhaaan!) is meeting new friends. During this year's Khhaaan!,we had the awesome opportunity to meet and hang out with the fine folks from Geek Nation Tours. What's Geek Nation Tours you ask? It's a tour company dedicated to the geek, and all his or her multifaceted interests. They create holidays for Geeks by Geeks. Oh, and next year? They're planning a special tour for Vegas Khhaaan! 2012. The Geek Nation Tours folks are good people (plus they're fans of Subspace Communique) and we figured, why not spread the word. This is definitely not a paid endorsement, just something that we thought was worth passing along. Get the full details below and be sure to check out GeekNationTours.com. Heck, if you have any questions, you can send along an email here.
